Internazionale signed an agreement with Boca Juniors for the striker in September, with the Italian side paying an initial €7m plus up to €3m in bonuses, including goals, appearances and featuring in the Champions League.

Colidio, who will begin his career at Inter playing for Stefano Vecchi's youth side when he moves in January, shot to prominence at this year's South American under-17 tournament in Chile when he scored two goals against Peru.

Fernando Batista, his coach with the national team, is particulary excited about Colidio's future. "He is strong, so he can play well in Europe, but he has the technical ability you would associate with Latin American players," he said. "I would like to compare him to Gonzalo Higuaín".

Known as 'Coli' to his team-mates, he has also been watched by Manchester City, Atlético Madrid and Juventus and will be a big loss to Boca.
