It feels like Marquinhos has been around for so long that it is almost impossible to believe he is just 22. After all, he made his senior debut at Corinthians back in 2012, when he was just 18-years-old.

A switch to Roma followed before a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain after just a season.

Since then he has established himself as one of Europe's classiest defenders, demonstrating speed, strength and supreme timing as a tackler.

Working with compatriot Thiago Silva has helped him improve his game, and it could now be suggested that he is a better player than his veteran team-mate.
